Joe Burrow, Bengals QB, OVER 350 passing yards (+400)

There are two long shots on the program this weekend that are worth a look. The first is thanks to Saturday’s games involving the Bengals and Burrow. Only nine players in NFL history have thrown for 5,000 yards or more in a season. Burrow is 359 yards away from joining this exclusive club. Cincinnati’s playoff hopes are hanging by a thread.

They need a win to stay alive on Sunday, and Burrow’s arm will have to be a big factor in that. He passed for 412 yards with his back against the wall in Week 17 and topped 350 yards in four of seven yards. Burrow should threaten that number in a must-win game, especially with some history on the line.

Davante Adams, Jets WR, all-time TD scorer (+140)

Sunday could be the last game of Aaron Rodgers’ career. At least it looks like the end of his Jets career. In the end there is a finality, something we all have to deal with in our lives. You get off the school bus for the last time, talk to a friend for the last time, and drive your first car for the last time. Countless other things fit into this nostalgia-inducing category, but we’re here to smile because it happened.

Rodgers and Adams thrilled NFL fans in Green Bay for years and formed one of the greatest bonds in sports. Adams intercepted touchdown passes No. 200 and No. 400 from Rodgers and would like to add No. 500 to the keepsake box. The New York sequel wasn’t as glamorous as the original, especially for a team seemingly eternally mired in mediocrity. Regardless, expect Rodgers, staring down NFL mortality, to bring the ball to his friend on the field for one final reminder before making a decision about his future.

Mike Evans, Buccaneers WR, OVER 96.5 yards (-110)

Evans needs five catches and 85 receiving yards for a $3 million bonus. As if that wasn’t reason enough, the Bucs also need a win to secure a spot in the playoffs. On the other side are the humble Saints, who allow opposing receivers the fifth-most yards per game. The 96.5 is a ridiculous number, especially considering his line was pegged at around 70 or fewer yards per game for most of the season.

It recently moved up to Jerry Rice’s 1,000-yard chase record. Evans wants to tie Rice for most consecutive seasons with 1,000 yards receiving at 11. We know Baker Mayfield will do whatever it takes to get Evans the ball and won’t give up until the record and payday are secure. It also happens that Evans is a crucial cog in a Tampa Bay offense that needs him to make the playoffs. The line screams under, but history and the monetary winnings advise you to ignore the statistics and trust the narrative.

Courtland Sutton, Broncos WR, OLD OVER 80+ receiving yards (+165)

Speaking of a player looking to make money while his team chases a playoff spot, let’s welcome Sutton to the party. He is just 82 yards away from reaching the final receiving yardage incentive bonus, which would give him $500,000. Those yards would put him at the number 1,065 he wants to hit, meaning we really like the number +165 associated with this bet.

Sutton is already firmly on the roster as the Broncos’ No. 1 receiver and is getting a Chiefs team that is resting its starters before the playoffs. Kansas City is a No. 1 seed and health is more important than trying to ruin a division rival’s season. Sutton was already 6 of 9 targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against KC when they tried. We demand 10 more yards and don’t even need the touchdown. Expect him to play a big role as Denver looks to secure a playoff spot.

Kyler Murray, Cardinals QB, over 31.5 rushing yards (-125)

Murray is aiming for 50 rushing yards and a touchdown to take home $750,000. In Week 5, he used his legs to post 83 rushing yards and a touchdown against San Francisco, his best rushing performance of the season. Arizona loaded Murray’s contract with incentives after the video game gate dominated headlines ahead of his contract extension. While the Cardinals aren’t going to the playoffs, Murray can secure a nice check in the offseason to purchase new equipment and numerous in-game purchases to enhance his playing experience.

Jared Goff, Lions QB, OVER 4 passing touchdowns (+650)

Since this is our final overall look of Week 18, it only makes sense to target game No. 272 of the NFL regular season. The Motor City will host the finale, a matchup between two teams with 14 wins each to determine who will secure the top seed in the NFC. The loser ends up being a wild card, but we go into this game knowing that there are plenty of points on the board.

Detroit has scored at will in recent weeks and Goff has thrown at least three touchdowns in four straight games, including five against Buffalo. Without David “Knuckles” Montgomery in the backcourt, Goff’s arm will be more important. In a game as massive as this, both teams should be trading blows the entire time before someone finally gets a knockout blow. Goff has a chance to do some scoring, especially against a blitz-happy Minnesota unit.
