Pleasant temperatures to end the weekend before some rain

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – Skies will continue to be clear overnight as temperatures turn colder and lows fall into the mid to upper 30s.

We start out with sunshine on Sunday, while temperatures rise to over 40 degrees by mid-morning. Cloud cover will increase throughout the day, with partly to mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon. It will be a pleasant day with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. The sky will be cloudy in the evening, with rain expected overnight. Sunday evening temperatures will only be in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

On Monday we will have cloudy skies throughout the day, with a few scattered showers possible. Temperatures will be very pleasant again as we see highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. In the evening and at night the sky will be mostly cloudy, a few showers are still possible. Overnight lows will only reach into the lower to mid 50s.

We’ll start with scattered showers on Tuesday. These isolated showers will develop into widespread rain early in the afternoon. Highs will be back in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Periods of rain will continue into the evening, with rainfall easing overnight. Lows Tuesday evening will reach into the lower to mid 30s.

On Wednesday there will be cloudy skies with isolated snow showers in the morning. It will be a much colder day as high temperatures only reach into the mid to upper 30s. The sky will be cloudy in the evening, but it will clear up a bit overnight. It will be very cold on Wednesday evening, with lows around 20°C.

Thursday will bring lots of sunshine with just a few passing clouds. It will be another cold day with high temperatures only in the mid to upper 30s. Overnight lows will reach into the mid to upper 20s.

It will remain largely dry on Friday and next Saturday as temperatures rise again. Highs on Friday and next Saturday are expected to reach lows into the mid 50s.
