Police say a missing and endangered Tavares boy was kidnapped by his grandmother – WFTV

TAVARES, Fla. – A search is underway after an AMBER Alert was issued Sunday for a missing boy in Tavares.

Police said 5-year-old Jace Saunders was last seen Sunday afternoon near Summerall Park.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said Jace may be with his grandmother, Kelly Day-Dasilva.

The two could be traveling in a black Honda Accord.

Jace was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black shirt with multi-colored graphics and dark pajama pants.

Tavares police said Jace’s parents were also arrested on custodial interference charges due to their lack of cooperation in the search for their son.

Police said Jace has autism and is semi-verbal.
