Powerball winner: $1 million ticket sold at Mass. gas station

A Massachusetts lottery player won $1 million in Monday night’s Powerball drawing.

The winning numbers for the December 2nd drawing were 3, 9, 26, 61, 67 and Powerball: 13. The multiplier was 2X.

The $1 million ticket sold in Massachusetts matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball number. The winning ticket was sold at a Mobil gas station in Tewksbury.

There was no winner of the Powerball jackpot on Monday night, leaving the jackpot at an estimated $240 million as of Tuesday morning.

Additionally, the first prize of $1 million from the new Celtics Banner 18 scratch-off game was won on Monday. The winning ticket was sold at a speedway in Seekonk.

Another lottery player also secured a $1 million prize on the $2,000,000 50X Cashword 2024 scratch-off game. This winning ticket was sold at the Pacific Liquors Store in Lowell.

Finally, two lottery players won $100,000 each in Monday night’s Mass Cash drawing. The winning numbers for the drawing were 2, 7, 13, 17 and 33. One of the winning tickets, which matched all five numbers, was sold at Roche Bros. in Mashpee and the other was sold at Minute Market in Somerville.

In total, at least 785 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Monday, including 18 in Springfield, 35 in Worcester and 69 in Boston.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a complete list of winning tickets daily. The list only includes winning tickets valued at more than $600.

So far, the largest lottery prize won in Massachusetts this year was worth $1 million a year for life.

The prize came from the lottery’s “Lifetime Millions” scratch-off game. The winner claimed his prize through a trust on July 10, opting for a one-time payment of $15.4 million.
