Aston Villa vs Southampton, Saturday, 3pm – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

“Goals, goals, goals” is once again the theme of the Premier League season. So when a game has all the ingredients for a goalfest, players should act accordingly and secure the overlines.

Highlights from the Premier League game between Aston Villa and Brentford

In the 30 Premier League games since the recent international break, the average goals per game was 3.39, with 14 of those games seeing more than 3.5 goals. Villa and Southampton were responsible for four of these games and already have a very good overall goal average this season. The over 3.5 goals line looks to be of interest in this case at 11/10 on Sky Bet.

RESULT PREDICTION: 4-2

Brentford vs Newcastle, Saturday 3pm – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

Alexander Isak is arguably the most complete striker in the Premier League, isn’t he?

Alexander Isak is 9/2 to score first with Sky Bet

Yes, Erling Haaland is the most ruthless goalscorer, but Isak’s pace, agility, craftiness and finishing ability could take Newcastle to very special places if he can stay consistent. The Swede was outstanding against Liverpool, giving Virgil van Dijk the ball for long stretches – something not many strikers have managed this season.

If Newcastle and Isak can match the intensity and grit they showed in that amazing 3-3 draw with Liverpool then Brentford won’t realize the path they’ve taken and that explains why Eddie Howe’s team are 13/ 10 is the favorite. However, it is difficult to predict which version of it will appear.

However, Isak scored in both games against Brentford and only Haaland, Mohamed Salah and Cole Palmer have averaged more goals per game than Isak’s goal rate of 0.56 since his arrival at Newcastle. At Sky Bet you can bet on him to score first at 9/2.

RESULT PREDICTION: 1-2

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City, Saturday, 3pm – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

Manchester City looked more like themselves in the final third of their 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest, but there’s still something wrong without possession. Forest gave them big problems in transition and the lack of legs in midfield will still be a problem for Pep Guardiola, who was lucky that Chris Wood missed a great chance to make it 1-0 when he went wide.

And Palace have the pace and power in attack as well as a very clever manager in Oliver Glasner who causes problems. I would be amazed if they didn’t take the same approach as at Aston Villa, where they played very direct and quickly got the ball forward to Ismaila Sarr, who enjoyed the counter-attack and scored a goal. He is well priced to score at Sky Bet at 7/2.

RESULT PREDICTION: 2-2 | JONES KNOWS’ BEST BET: Ismaila Sarr scores (7/2 with Sky Bet)

Manchester United v Nottingham Forest, Saturday 5.30pm, live on Sky Sports – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

Man Utd v Nottingham Forest

I’m very keen on Manchester United games being low-scoring affairs, while Ruben Amorim treats games like trials. It’s a very brave move for him to continue to chop up and change his players in a world where results are everything, especially at a club like Manchester United.

It is difficult to build play patterns and consistency in the forward areas when the team is constantly being renewed. Getting a team to score goals is much more difficult than fixing the defense.

We know that Nottingham Forest will play a very defensive game under Nuno Espirito Santo, who likes to keep things tight. This calendar year, only Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City have a better expected goals process than Forest, offering just 1.25 expected goals per 90. I can imagine they will be a tough nut to crack for this United team. The under 2.5 goal line at Evens seems like a game.

RESULT PREDICTION: 1-1 | JONES KNOWS’ BEST BET: Under 2.5 goals (Evens with Sky Bet)

Fulham v Arsenal, Sunday 2pm, live on Sky Sports – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

Fulham vs Arsenal

When the schedule gets as intense as it is now, shocking results happen.

This seems to be the candidate for such a scenario Great Sundaywhere Arsenal can easily avoid it at 8/15 with Sky Bet for many reasons. Looking back over the past few seasons, at this time of year when a midweek game is followed by a weekend game, the Gunners suffered two defeats against Everton, were beaten at Aston Villa and drew 1-1 with Southampton.

And Fulham are a serious team that is having a good season under Marco Silva.

Sunday, December 8th, 1:00 p.m

Kick-off is at 2:00 p.m

They have won the expected goals battle in 13 of their last 15 games, including against Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa. This shows us that Fulham are showing a consistent level of performance, limiting teams with their defensive process and creating good chances at the other end. This makes it a huge draw no bet with Sky Bet at 100/30.

RESULT PREDICTION: 2-1

Leicester v Brighton, Sunday 2pm

Happiness is an important part of life – and Ruud van Nistelrooy has his fair share of it. By being in the right place at the right time, he not only secured himself a job in the Premier League, but he also somehow managed to win a football game by two goals despite having the shot count at 8:31 and lost expected goals by 1.67:3.10. The thing about luck is that it eventually runs out as I struggle to see anything other than a Brighton win when the Leicester we’ve seen all season shows up here.

The Foxes took 18.14 shots per game in the Premier League – more than any other team as their defense was overloaded. Double Brighton to win and have 16 or more shots at 13/8 with Sky Bet.

RESULT PREDICTION: 1-3

Ipswich v Bournemouth, Sunday 2pm

An Ipswich centre-back will soon score – and I want to be with him when he does. Kieran McKenna has tried to make Ipswich more dangerous from set pieces with the signings of Dara O’Shea and Jacob Greaves – two very dangerous centre-backs when it comes to attacking set pieces.

It looks like it’s working as Town’s centre-backs have taken a total of 24 shots this season, giving them an expected goals value of 1.89. With the wand of Leif Davis’ left foot delivering the goods, one comes.

Both O’Shea and Greaves are 14/1 odds at Sky Bet to score at any time – a couple of longshots worth serious consideration.

RESULT PREDICTION: 1-1

Tottenham v Chelsea, Sunday 4.30pm, live on Sky Sports – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

Regardless of whether Chelsea are in this title race or not, there is no hiding the fact that they have won 13 of their last 19 Premier League games. This looks like an excellent time to play against Tottenham too, considering the fixture list is making life difficult for Ange Postecoglou, who is now under pressure.

An important aspect of a manager when managing big clubs today is to rotate his squad to hopefully avoid injuries – some do this better than others. And Spurs are a team that suffers injuries and feels fatigue more than others.

This is their fifth game in 15 days – it’s also been an intense run against Man City, Roma, Fulham and Bournemouth.

Chelsea look to be one of the best bets of the weekend to win away at 5/4 with Sky Bet.

RESULT PREDICTION: 1-3 | JONES KNOWS’ BEST BET: Chelsea beat Tottenham (5/4 with Sky Bet)

West Ham v Wolves, Monday 8pm, live on Sky Sports

West Ham vs Wolves

It’s going to be a tough bet to sell – but I really like the under 2.5 goals limit at 5/4 on Sky Bet – even though both of these teams are terrible defensively. Wolves have conceded 2.19 goals per game this calendar year and West Ham have conceded 2.15 goals.

Of the Premier League teams ubiquitous during this time, we are dealing with the two worst defenders.

However, Gary O’Neil said after the Everton defeat: “I have to find a way to give the group a better chance on Monday night.”

He spoke of Wolves’ inability to lay the foundations at Everton – all four goals came from set pieces. So if you read between the lines, he will essentially put 11 men behind the ball at the London Stadium and activate low-block mode to frustrate the Hammers, who will get no sympathy from an angry fan base.

It might be a tough watch, but that’s totally fine if we’re benefiting from a low-scoring snoozefest.

RESULT PREDICTION: 0-0
