Prime Video membership rules will change starting in January

Amazon Prime membership rules will change in India from January 2025. The streaming platform is introducing new limits and caps.

Amazon Prime membership terms and conditions in India are changing as the streaming platform introduces a cap on the number of TVs that can stream content simultaneously on a single account.

Starting January 2025, Prime members will be able to access Prime Video on up to five devices, with a limit of two TVs. Users who watch Prime Video on more than two televisions will need to purchase a separate subscription for the third television.

This means an end to “streaming on up to five devices without restrictions on device type”. Amazon offers Prime membership at a monthly price of Rs 299, quarterly at Rs 599 and annually at Rs 1499. There is the annual Prime Lite membership for Rs 799 and the Prime Shopping edition for Rs 399 per year.
