Projected lines, defensive pairings for the Bruins-Panthers matchup

The Bruins look to end their six-game losing streak when they face the Florida Panthers on Saturday.

Boston is coming off a 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena. The result seemed to spark a strange rumor that Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak quickly quashed.

This energy transition could be what the black and gold need. However, they could be without Mark Kastelic, who sustained an injury after being cross-checked at the end of the Lightning match. Interim coach Joe Sacco said the striker was day-to-day fit after missing training on Friday. Marc McLaughlin would return to the lineup if Kastelic is unable to play.

Hampus Lindholm practiced again after the morning skate, but the defenseman is not expected to play on Saturday. Aaron Ekblad returned to the Panthers’ lineup on Wednesday after missing a game due to an undisclosed injury. However, the defender missed Friday’s practice and head coach Paul Maurice called it a game-time decision.

Puck drop for the Bruins-Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
