PS Plus members get free Marvel Rivals DLC

In just a few days, PS5 players will be able to enjoy it NetEase games‘ Hero shooter Marvel RivalsAnd PS Plus Subscribers can claim a symbiote bonus at no additional charge. There’s also a free skin for one of Marvel’s most popular characters, available exclusively on Sony’s gaming platform.

For PS Plus subscribers, the Peni Parker VEN#M Suit Pack is available to download. In addition to the cosmetic items based on the comics, the package also includes season pass tokens. Players who are not subscribed to the online service can purchase these items in-game.

Another exclusive cosmetic product is available for the wider PS5 audience. Players can get the Scarlet Spider skin for Spider-Man at no additional cost. For those wondering, it is based on the Kaine Parker Scarlet Spider with its black and red color scheme. It is not based on the popular hoodie-wearing Ben Reilly version of the character.

Marvel Rivals will be released on December 6, 2024 for PS5. The free hero shooter features 33 characters including Captain America, Wolverine, Hulk, Psylocke, Magneto and Squirrel Girl. Each character is unlocked right from the jump.

According to a PlayStation blog post, Marvel Rivals for PS5 runs at a stable 60 frames per second at 1440p resolutions. It also uses Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen Global Illumination and Chaos Destruction technology. The game features a high frame rate mode that runs at 120 FPS, although no resolution targets are specified. This mode can only be used with a compatible display.

Marvel Rivals is one of the many enhanced PS5 Pro games. Thanks to the console’s more powerful GPU and PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) technology, the game can run at 60 FPS at 4K. This Pro mode also offers more immersive and dynamic lighting thanks to Lumen Global Illumination and Lumen Reflections. High frame rate mode will also benefit as it offers higher resolutions at 120 FPS.
