Don’t worry if you’re not a PS Plus subscriber, because you can still purchase the pack in-game if you want.

One thing you don’t have to buy is the previously announced PS5-exclusive Scarlet Spider skin for Spider-Man. Given Sony’s long-standing relationship with the web-slinger, it’s no real surprise that PlayStation owners are getting an extra extra there.

The title also supports PS5 Pro PSSR to improve image quality in both 60fps and 120fps modes. On the base PS5, the game runs in 1440p at 60 frames per second, but Sony’s powerful system will upscale that resolution closer to 4K. Lumen reflections are also added to enhance lighting effects anywhere.

Finally, the game will take full advantage of the DualSense controller, incorporating haptic feedback and the pad’s adaptive triggers to make each superhero feel unique.

As gaming becomes more ubiquitous across all platforms, these console-specific advantages are becoming a key differentiator for manufacturers. Individually they may not mean much, but when you add them up it’s clear that Marvel Rivals will feel right at home on the PS5.
