Raiders-Falcons Monday Night Football: Offense and special teams drain energy from Allegiant Stadium

The Las Vegas Raiders and Atlanta Falcons might have played a primetime game Monday Night Football in Week 15, but that was hard to tell due to the lack of energy at Allegiant Stadium. And that wasn’t the fans’ fault at all, as they were simply able to keep up with the Raiders’ performance.

There were several empty seats, as no one should feel forced to spend their hard-earned money to see a club at 2-11 (now 2-12), and a pin could be heard at several points throughout the evening. That’s what happens when an offense can only muster 249 yards, 45 of them during a two-minute drive that ended with a game-winning interception and a pathetic special teams performance.

The Las Vegas offense scored just seven points after giving up a safety while allowing two blocked punts, a blocked field goal and a long kickoff return to keep the home fans in their seats.

Granted, the defense played well with one interception, three sacks and just 15 points allowed, but it’s been the same all season for the Silver and Black as the offense snuffs out any momentum created. The result is an extension of the NFL’s longest losing streak, now reaching 10 games, and several frustrating posts from Raider Nation on X/Twitter.

We all could have used a pair of these for this game.

Howie Long seems excited to be at the game…

A terrible call that gave Atlanta a first down.

Such an evening on the offensive.

Stop if you’ve heard this before. Antonio Pierce says the team is still fighting.

Mark Davis recently said he likes that the Raiders are still “competitive”…

He also shared Desmond Ridder’s thoughts on the team: “It was too little, too late.”

It certainly looked like the Raiders were trying to make a move for Shedeur Sanders tonight.

The Raiders are currently No. 1 in Tankathon, but the NFL is apparently giving them up to the Giants.

If you thought tonight was bad, wait until we play Mac Jones against Ridder or a hobbled Aidan O’Connell on Sunday.
