Randy Brown upset over Bryan Battle’s big weight mistake at UFC 310: ‘How is that fair to me?’

Randy Brown has spoken out about his UFC 310 opponent’s weight mistake.

Brown is scheduled to face Bryan Battle on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. At Friday’s official weigh-in, Brown successfully gained weight while Battle topped the mark by four pounds.

After the weigh-in window, Brown reacted to Battle’s massive weight miss and believes it was intentional.

“Nine walks to the UFC Octagon alone, six on the regional stage, and I’ve never lost weight, not once. Like a real pro,” Brown wrote on Instagram. “Brian knew he wouldn’t be back to the weight he was the day before, but still made me suffer through weight loss. These guys bite the bullet in percentage terms and then intentionally gain excess weight so they can gain a weight advantage on fight night. I won’t be older than 185 (on Saturday). I would bet it will weigh well over 200 (pounds). How is that fair to me?”

To date, no official decision has been released by the UFC. A person with knowledge of the action plans told MMA Fighting on Friday that percentages had been agreed upon and that the bout would go ahead as planned.

Brown enters the fight on a three-fight winning streak, including a decision over Elizeu Zaleski at UFC 302 in June. Battle is undefeated in his last four outings and saw off three opponents en route to his toughest test yet this weekend.
