Two-time MVP Lamar Jackson also supported Tucker, saying he is “still the GOAT” and that Jackson still has faith in his kicker. Jackson took the blame for the Ravens offense not executing its attacks better as the game went on.

“I felt like we left things out there,” Jackson said. “We shouldn’t even put Tuck in situations like this.”

Baltimore scored just two touchdowns on five trips to the red zone. Tucker was 2 of 4 on field goal attempts, missing from 47 and 53 yards in the third quarter. Each missed shot gave the Eagles a 14-12 lead. Tucker also hit the left post on his first extra point attempt, capping the Ravens’ early lead to 9-0.

Tucker took responsibility for Sunday’s mistakes but didn’t address the how and why of Tucker’s problems.

“As simply as I can put it, I missed the kicks and I’ll leave it at that,” Tucker said. “I just let things out. I feel like I cost us that.”

“But it doesn’t really benefit anyone to think about it. The only thing we can do – what I can do – is keep working. Moving forward, taking one kick at a time.”

Tucker started the season shaky, seemed to stabilize toward the middle of the season, but has since regressed. His problems came to the fore again during an 18-16 loss to the Steelers in Week 11, when he missed two kicks in the loss. Most of Tucker’s misses have come from 50 yards or more, but he has now missed two shorter shots in the last few weeks.

Again, Tucker’s focus after Sunday’s loss was on his own responsibility and concentration, not on reviewing the mechanics of the misses.

“I hate that I had to have that same conversation over the course of this season, but that’s the nature of this job description,” Tucker said. “The shots are either good or not. Today I didn’t work well enough to help our team win the football game.”

The 8-5 Ravens now have the bye week to clear their potential future Hall of Fame kicker as they chase the Steelers in the AFC North before a rematch against Pittsburgh in Week 16.
