The Real Housewives of Potomac‘S Karen Huger named third US president Thomas Jefferson And Andy Cohen after her car accident in March.

Huger, 61, was found guilty of driving under the influence and four other charges on Wednesday, Dec. 18, although she was acquitted of reckless driving. After concluding her trial in Rockville, Maryland, prosecutors released police footage of Huger the night of the accident, the Fox 5 DC host shared Marina Marraco about X

In police camera footage from the night of March 19, Huger can be seen sitting in the passenger seat of a police vehicle and telling an officer that she is known as “Grande Dame” – a reference to her nickname RHOP – and that “Andy Cohen did this.” She continues: “I don’t know what the hell that’s about.”

After she is taken to a local police station, police body camera footage shows Huger appearing to disagree with a police officer, at one point referring to herself as “Thomas Jefferson’s concubine.”

According to Fox 5 DC, Huger was charged in court with DUI, careless driving, failure to control speed to avoid a collision and failure to notify authorities of a change of address. (Us Weekly Bravo has asked for comment on the ruling.)

“Although we are disappointed with the jury’s verdict, we obviously respect their decision and appreciate that they took the time to hear our case,” said Huger’s attorney, A. Scott Boldentold People in a statement. “We continue to reserve Ms. Huger’s right to appeal and fully intend to seek justice on her behalf. We thank you for your support and prayers for Ms. Huger and her family during this time.”

In March, Huger was involved in a car accident in Potomac, Maryland. Montgomery County police told TMZ at the time that Huger was driving her 2017 Maserati “aggressively” in Potomac when she crashed into a crosswalk sign and a parking sign at an intersection.

She was not arrested but received several citations from police at the time. She was later charged with DUI and DUI.

Over the years, the Real Housewives of Potomac has parted ways with several cast members. During her trial, police body camera footage showed an officer telling her she had been “hammered” while she appeared to be slurring her speech, Fox 5 DC reported. Several witnesses testified during the trial, including a paramedic who claimed that Huger refused treatment at the scene of the accident and “staggered” as she tried to get into an ambulance.

At the time of the accident, Huger said she was struggling with emotional stress.

“Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes throughout this very scary experience. I’m still in shock from last night’s incident, but I’m grateful to be alive today. “With the death of my beloved mother, grief comes and goes in waves, and as Mother’s Day approaches, it felt more like a tsunami,” Huger told TMZ in a March statement. “Last night I met a friend for dinner, we chatted and touched on some very emotionally sensitive topics. I was crying on the way home and saw a car coming straight towards me. I swerved to avoid the head-on collision, hitting the bulkhead and then a tree. I’m hurt, a little hurt, but so grateful to be alive! I did receive citations, one of which had nothing to do with the incident, which is understandable, but what surprised me the most was that the car that almost hit me just drove away!”

She concluded: “I would like to emphasize that it is important to understand your emotional state when driving and may this be a reminder to everyone to buckle up. My mother may be my guardian angel, but the seatbelt saved my life.”

Huger is expected to be sentenced on January 29, 2025.
