January 4, 2015 was a dark and gloomy day for the sports community. On this day, beloved ESPN host Stuart Scott passed away after losing his courageous battle with cancer at the age of 49. Needless to say, the whole world cried for the warrior. Now, after about 9 years, Dana White exchanged a few words about the legendary presenter and joined forces to raise funds for Stuart Scott’s cancer fundraiser.

The UFC boss said on social media“I met Stuart Scott many years ago through SportsCenter and ESPN. One of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He was obviously very passionate about what he did. You could feel it in his commentary when he delivered his lines on SportsCenter. Iconic! And one of the things that obviously stands out to me is that he was a huge MMA fan and actually trained. And we always talked about different fights and how much he loved MMA.”

Without a doubt, just like Scott said “Booyaah!” was nothing short of legendary. Losing such a person to cancer was the most heartbreaking thing possible. To honor the analyst, ESPN partnered with the V Foundation to create the Stuart Scott Memorial Cancer Research Fund. And with the UFC CEO’s help, the V Foundation could get a major boost and aid could reach those in need quickly and efficiently.
