Rita Ora continued to show off her bold sense of style as she arrived in New York on Sunday evening.

The 34-year-old singer was spotted in a striking black puffer coat with red checkered lining as she headed to Times Square, where she will co-host Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

The singer turned heads in the statement coat, which she wore open over a black turtleneck dress and thigh-high leather wedge boots.

She wore her brunette locks slicked back into a tight updo and wore simple silver hoop earrings.

Rita wore a glamorous makeup palette with a hint of sparkle for the evening and completed the look with statement sunglasses.

Before her TV appearance on New Year’s Eve in the Big Apple, Rita kept her fans updated on what was happening and posted on Facebook: SURPRISE!! I’m doing double duty on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve! Not only will I be co-hosting with Ryan Seacrest in Times Square, but I’ll also be performing. Be sure to tune in New Year’s Eve at 8/7c on ABC!#RockinEve.

The appearance comes after Rita hinted she had left The Masked Singer to pursue new music.

The pop star has resigned from the ITV game show’s judging panel and been replaced by Love Island presenter Maya Jama.

Since the competition series began in 2020, she has appeared alongside Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan.

But now, while incorporating a haircare product, Rita revealed she’ll be going back to her roots next year as she prepares to head to the studio.

She wrote on Instagram: “What is your plan for 2025?”

“Mines @typebea and music and being part of the coolest movies and spending time with family and friends and making the most of every moment. ‘You?’

Rita’s latest album, titled You & I, was released in 2023 and during her absence she had a number of stand-ins on The Masked Singer.

In the hit reality show, celebrities wear extravagant costumes to hide their identities while singing classic pop music.

If the judges fail to correctly guess a particular contestant, they are declared the winner.

Upon joining, Maya said: “I’m such a Masked Singer fan, so it will be so much fun to join the panel along with Davina, Jonathan and Mo – and of course working with Joel!”

“I can’t wait to find out who’s underneath all of these incredible costumes, feel the spirit of their performances, and have a front row seat to the reveals.”

Maya has been hosting Love Island since 2023 and her third series aired this summer.

Joel Dommett will return as host of the hit show, which first hit screens in 2020 and features celebrities singing in disguise before the guesswork begins.

It has since reached an incredible 37 million viewers who tuned in to guess who was behind the mask.

This year’s line-up follows in the footsteps of a number of superstars including Dionne Warwick, NeYo, Richie Sambora, Michael Owen, Daisy May Cooper, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Sue Perkins, Glenn Hoddle, Pat Cash, Lorraine Kelly, Jason Manford and Jake Shears , Sir Lenny Henry, Joss Stone and more.
