BYU began the morning with select players attending the Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast with their Colorado counterparts and several local FCA members. Head coach Kalani Sitake, followed by safeties coach Tanner Wall, spoke about their faith and being a disciple of Christ.

Former BYU defensive lineman Derwin Gray, a San Antonio product, was one of the event’s keynote speakers.

After the FCA breakfast, BYU practiced at Trinity University to prepare for Saturday’s game. BYU coordinators and select players then went to the Alamodome for a team press conference to discuss the game with Colorado.

Defensive coordinator Jay Hill, offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick, Jake Retzlaff (QB), Chase Roberts (WR), Connor Pay (OL), Tyler Batty (DE), Jakob Robinson (DB) and Isaiah Glasker (LB) all attended the press conference and additional media interviews afterwards.

The main event of the day for fans in the area and traveling to San Antonio was the Ricos River Rally at the Arneson River Theater on the Riverwalk. Coach Sitake and Tyler Batty, along with BYU cheerleaders, Cosmo and other players, led a unique pep rally from the stage while the other players and pep bands arrived on river cruise ships to reach BYU and Colorado fans.

On Friday, coach Sitake and Colorado coach Deion Sanders will hold a joint press conference before both teams have lunch together. The Cougars will hold one final walkthrough practice to prepare for Saturday afternoon’s game.

BYU will face Colorado in the Valero Alamo Bowl at the Alamodome on Saturday, December 28th at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast nationally on ABC.
