Robert De Niro plays dueling mafia bosses in a crime drama

De Niro pulls double duty as Frank Costello and Vito Genovese, two of New York’s most ruthless crime bosses. Once friends, the two criminals become bitter rivals and eventually mortal enemies, culminating in Genovese’s assassination attempt on Costello in 1957. After surviving the attack, Costello retreats and goes hunting for the Mafia, triggering the downfall of the American Mafia.

“I have to find a way to eliminate everything,” Costello says as he begins to plan his revenge.

De Niro has become a major player in crime films for most of his career, particularly in his collaborations with Martin Scorsese. De Niro’s notable crime films include: Medium streets, Goodfellas, A Bronx Story, casino, The IrishmanAnd Flower Moon Killer. De Niro won Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars for his role as young Vito Corleone The Godfather Part II.
