The Rose Bowl will take place as scheduled and security will be present as fans stream through the stadium in Pasadena.

No. 8 Ohio State is scheduled to play No. 1 Oregon at 2:10 p.m. PDT and there are no signs of delays.

The Sugar Bowl, scheduled to take place Wednesday at Caesars Superdome, has been postponed by a day as police investigate a deadly truck attack. The game will now be played on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. PDT.

Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar, a 42-year-old from Texas, rammed a pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans around 3:15 a.m., killing 10 people and injuring more than 30, the FBI said. The driver was killed in a gun battle with police following the attack near Canal Street. The FBI said an Islamic State flag and improvised explosive devices were found in the truck. They don’t believe he was “solely responsible” and are looking for information about anyone who helped him.

People with offices in the Superdome — including Sugar Bowl and Sun Belt Conference officials — were ordered not to come to work until further notice. All workers were removed from the Superdome and it was placed on lockdown at midday Wednesday while authorities conducted additional security checks.

The Georgia and Notre football teams arrived in New Orleans on Sunday and stayed in downtown hotels, just blocks from the scene of the violence, and remained in lockdown in their hotels on Wednesday.

A statement from the University of Georgia Athletic Assn. said that “all team personnel and members of the official team travel party were accounted for.” The University of Notre Dame released a statement praying for “the family members and loved ones of all those affected by the terrible attack.”

The Superdome, located about 20 blocks from the site of the attack, is also scheduled to host the Super Bowl on February 9th.
