Rosie O’Donnell talks about daughter Chelsea’s third arrest

Rosie O’Donnell speaks out again about her worried daughter Chelsea O’Donnell.

“So yes, that’s true,” the former talk show host captioned a screenshot from a reporter who emailed Instagram on Tuesday seeking comment on Chelsea’s recent arrest. “After being released on bail by her birth mother, Chelsea was arrested again – and is facing numerous charges relating to her drug addiction.”

According to Marinette County, Wisconsin, jail records viewed by USA TODAY, Chelsea was charged on Nov. 18 and is currently in custody. Her arrest in November follows arrests in September and October on charges including allegedly running a “drug trafficking store,” child neglect, domestic violence and possession of methamphetamine, THC, drug paraphernalia and an illegally obtained prescription .

An attorney for Chelsea O’Donnell could not be reached for comment.

O’Donnell has five children and shares 27-year-old Chelsea with his ex-wife Kelli Carpenter.

“We all hope she gets the help she needs to turn her life around,” O’Donnell added in her caption.

O’Donnell also commented on her daughter’s arrests at the time. In a TikTok, the former talk show host expressed her gratitude for the support she received from people who were also affected by addiction.

“I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words and wishes regarding Chelsea,” O’Donnell said. “And to all the people who have told me they were going through something similar with a child, their spouse, a brother, or a lover, I want to thank you for making me feel less alone. I think it’s hard sometimes to be a public person, and it’s hard for the children of those public people.
