Ryan Seacrest reveals what Vanna White is Really Like – and his answer won’t disappoint!

Seacrest, 50, spoke to PEOPLE on Dec. 30 ahead of 2025 Dick Clark’s rockin’ New Year’s Eve Special in which he reflected on the past year. One of his most memorable moments was taking over the hosting gig from Pat Sajak wheel of fortune, And the television personality says White, 67, made him feel at home.

“She’s so super generous and sweet and kind,” he enthuses, then recounts a kind gesture White recently made. “She even brought me – because I said I drink very strong black coffee and my teeth, sometimes you can see it – she brought me white streaks. She brought me white stripes. The next day she went to the store. She brought me white stripes.”

“She is an institution, an icon,” he adds. “She’s great. She’s everything you think Vanna White will be when you meet her!”

Seacrest took over the role in September following Sajak’s resignation Wheel of Fortune after 40 years of service. White, who has been on the game show for just as long, has returned to her longtime position, and Seacrest has previously spoken out about how she helped him take on the position.

“I can’t imagine that Wheel of Fortune without Vanna White. “It doesn’t seem right, especially when there’s a new host,” he told PEOPLE earlier this year. He even remarked that they had “a magical time together.”

In addition to all the excitement, Seacrest also admitted that he was nervous about taking the place of such an iconic host, saying he “studied the rules” after getting the job.

“I rehearsed in conference rooms all over the country, depending on where I was working,” he said at the time. “We travel with a little bike we made to play with, and I feel ready.”

In his first episode on September 9, he began with a speech thanking the live audience for their “very warm welcome.” Then he said, “Host Wheel of Fortune is a dream job.”

“Welcome to Wheel of Fortune. “I’m your host, Ryan Seacrest,” he explained. “I still can’t believe my good fortune to be here with you tonight, continuing the legacy of this incredible show with all of you and of course my good friend Vanna White.”

“I’ve been a fan of this show since I was a kid and saw it with my family in Atlanta and I know how special this is.” wheel has been in your living rooms for 40 years and I’m just so grateful to have been invited,” he continued. “I also know I have some very big shoes to fill, so let’s play.” Wheel of Fortune!“

Dick Clark’s rocking New Year’s Eve, Then again, it’s nothing new for Seacrest. This will be his 20th year hosting the iconic show and his second co-host with Rita Ora. After Seacrest began hosting work alongside the late Dick Clark himself, he tells PEOPLE, “It feels like it all went by pretty quickly.”
