Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured in a robbery at his Bandra West residence in Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday (January 16, 2025). He is undergoing surgery at Lilavati Hospital to treat the stab wounds, the hospital confirmed.

According to Mumbai Police, an unknown person entered Saif’s apartment around 2:30 a.m. In the incident, Saif is said to have sustained injuries during an altercation with a knife. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital for treatment.

Police officials said it remains unclear whether the actor was stabbed or injured during a physical altercation with the intruder.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said that Saif Ali Khan was admitted at 3.30 am. Dr. Uttamani said Saif suffered six stab wounds, two of which were deep. There is a wound near his spine.

He will be operated on by a team of doctors including a neurosurgeon and a plastic surgeon.

Both the Mumbai Police and Crime Branch are investigating the incident.
