When you’re preparing your Thanksgiving feast and realize you forgot an important ingredient – the turkey! – no panic.

Some grocery stores will remain open Thursday for this very reason, but most are adjusting their hours and closing early for the holiday.

And if your family’s holiday traditions include snagging personal Black Friday deals, you’ll find some stores open early Friday morning.

Here’s what you need to know about grocery store and other retail hours this week:

Albertsons: Open on Thanksgiving Day, with adjusted hours of 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. In-store pharmacy locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

ALDI: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day.

Costco: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day. On Black Friday, Costco is open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m

Food4Less: Open on Thanksgiving Day with adjusted closing times. Opening times on public holidays may vary. So check with your local store.

Gelson’s: Open on Thanksgiving Day with special hours from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Black Friday, stores are open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m

grocery store: Each location is independently owned and operated. So it’s best to call your local store to find out their Thanksgiving hours.

Jimbo’s: Open on Thanksgiving Day with adjusted hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m

Ralph’s: Open on Thanksgiving Day with adjusted hours and most stores close at 10 p.m. All in-store pharmacies will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Sam’s Club: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day.

Clever and final: Open on Thanksgiving Day with adjusted hours from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m

Sprouts Farmers Market: Open on Thanksgiving Day with adjusted hours from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m

Stater Bros. Market: Open on Thanksgiving Day with adjusted hours from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m

Trader Joe’s: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day.

Vons: Open on Thanksgiving Day with adjusted hours from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vons pharmacy locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Whole Foods: Open on Thanksgiving Day with adjusted hours from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m

Retail stores

Best buy: CLOSED on Thanksgiving. However, the store is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday and offers online deals all week long.

Dick’s Sporting Goods: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day, but on Black Friday stores are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Dollar tree: OPEN on Thanksgiving Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store is also open on Black Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m

JCPenney: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day, but on Black Friday the store opens earlier from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m

Kohl’s: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day. The retailer will have extended hours on Black Friday from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m

Macy’s: CLOSED on Thanksgiving. On Black Friday, the store opens at 6 a.m., but closing time varies by location. Macy’s is also offering curbside pickup on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack: CLOSED on Thanksgiving. Black Friday hours vary by location.

REI: CLOSED on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. The outdoor retailer is wrapping up the annual shopping holiday and encouraging people to get outside with the social media hashtag #OptOutside.

Goal: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day. The store will open early on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m

Walmart: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day. The stationary pharmacies will also remain closed on Thursday. The big box store is open on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m
