Savannah Guthrie says this savory snack pairing was Hoda Kotb’s “greatest gift” to her

Savannah Guthrie has countless memories with her co-host and friend, Hoda Kotbbut one experience—and one snack—the two shared surpasses all others.

During the “Hoda-bration” on Friday, January 10th, the Today Notables gathered to have one last laugh with several special guests including Jamie Lee Curtis, Simone Biles, Oprah, Kermit the Frog and Kotb’s two daughters – as their colleagues say a bittersweet goodbye to Kotb.

During the Jan. 10 broadcast, Guthrie and Kotb were inseparable as they celebrated the 60-year-old and her greatest moments with the network, leading Guthrie to reveal the “greatest gift” she ever received from her.

As Today It was 8 a.m. when Kotb finished the ingredients for the savory snack, which left her confused. “Wait, what is that?” she asked.

“Hoda said, OK, she says, ‘My favorite snack is a Fritos scoop with onion dip,'” Guthrie said, impersonating her co-star. “OK, it’s delicious.”

Kotb then told everyone her recipe secret: It’s not the pre-made dip you can buy in the refrigerated section of a grocery store. “It’s French onion dip,” she clarified. “You have to rip open the Lipton (soup) packets and throw them in.”

“Let’s eat our feelings,” Guthrie joked, clearly sad about her friend’s departure but also excited about the new path she’s taking.

“If you haven’t tried Fritos with French Onion Dip,” the 53-year-old added, enticing fans before turning to her co-star to show him yet another piece of gratitude: “I feel like that that is one of your greatest gifts to you.” The most I have ever learned about this snack is the knowledge of this snack.

Today marks Kotb’s last full-time co-host Todayit won’t be the last time you see her. The popular TV personality recently announced that she plans to remain associated with the show and NBC even after her final episode airs.

“Yes you will (see me on TV),” she shared exclusively parade. “So I’m going to the Olympics in Milan and Los Angeles. Actually, when they said, ‘Let’s do things together’ – of course I’m part of NBC and will be – I said, ‘How about we do that?’ the Olympics?’ So I’ll kind of be in one snoop (Dogg)-ish role when working with the Today Show in Milan and in LA I will continue to do my podcast Making Space, which I love.”

“It’s such a part of me and I’ll get back to it Today show, maybe once a month in the spring to talk about things and maybe do a story here and there, something like that,” Kotb explained. “And I’m also happy about it because I’ve never been there before.” this capacity. I think that would be fun too. This way I can just play with my friends again.”
