Scarlett Johansson shocked by Jost/Che joke exchange

Every year, “Weekend Update” hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost host a joke swap where they write jokes for each other to read on television – and the person reading the joke doesn’t see or hear the joke in advance . This year’s edition was full of completely inappropriate taunts, leading Che to pretend to have a friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and Jost, and announce that he would tell his jokes in a so-called “black voice” throughout the segment.

Jost’s wife Scarlett Johansson, a frequent target of Che jokes, was also in the studio and responded live to several hits about her. One of Jost’s first taunts about Johansson for her age. “I would like to dedicate this next joke to my friend Scarlett Johansson,” he began. “Hey, boo. You know Scarlett just celebrated her 40th birthday, which means I’m getting out of there in a minute!”

“No, no, I’m just playing. “We just had a kid together and you haven’t seen any pictures of him because he’s fucking black,” Jost added.

Jost also later had to read: “Costco has taken the roast beef sandwich off their menu, but I’m not tripping, I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the baby!” The joke prompted Johansson to exclaim: “Oh my God! loudly behind the stage.

Che was also pushed into some tricky comedic corners. “‘Moana 2’ continues to set box office records because, as me and my good friend Jeffrey Epstein always said, there’s nothing like an island adventure with a teenage girl.”

“Before we go,” Che later added, “I would be remiss if I didn’t address the allegations against Jay-Z.” Some people are afraid to talk about it, but I’m not so afraid. So here it is. Jay-Z is innocent, he wasn’t even at those parties, and I know it because I was.”
