ROBINSON JOINS US NOW, WATCH THESE DOGS HAVE FUN. We’re talking about people getting into problems on the streets. And there were a lot of people who were nice and helped each other. And you met him first hand this evening? YES. Long story short: I have a two-wheel drive SUV that I purchased many years ago. But I still got help on my way to work this afternoon. And not only that, afterward they helped me dig myself out and then made sure I got home and had to dig myself out again. LIKE THE YOUNG LADY IN THE STORY, I WAS ONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO GOT STUCK TWICE TODAY, NOT FOUR, BUT AT LEAST TWICE. So I want to give a big shout out to Doctor Rodney Roper. ISAAC AND HIS FRIEND STUART OVER AT GOD’S BIBLE COLLEGE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT TODAY AND HELPING TO GET ME ON THE CHANNEL THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. So let’s talk about what’s happening outside. OK? We still have a few showers left, but overall the snow shower activity, the accumulating, heavy snowfall is over. It’s more about settling into this freezer for the next few days. OK. Outdoor temperatures will generally be in the low to mid 20s C this evening. The key to forecasting the next few nights now is whether we can clear the cloud cover here. Remember that the cloud cover acts like a little blanket and keeps us isolated. BUT IF WE LOSE THE CLOUD COVER WITH A DEEP COVER OF SNOW ON THE GROUND, THE TEMPERATURES WILL ROCK SEVERELY, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE WIND BECOMES A LITTLE CALM. And in fact we’re seeing that tonight. The wind has died down a bit out there. There is still a slight breeze blowing considering the wind chill. Most of us feel like we’re on either side of 15 right now. The winds have died down a bit again, so the wind chill isn’t as low as it used to be, let’s say. BUT I definitely don’t think we’re out of the woods yet. AND REGARDING THE DANGEROUS COLD THAT WILL BE COMING IN THE NEXT DAYS. So when you get up first thing in the morning you have to shovel the car out. For example, it’s likely that the wind chill will fluctuate on either side of zero as you head out the door, because I think it’ll be at least a few more hours this evening, with skies clearing and temperatures clearing pretty quickly will sink. Okay, snowfall totals are up again. Most of us are somewhere in the 8 to 10 range. WE HAVE SOME LOCATIONS THAT HAVE DEVELOPED MORE THAN TEN, IN SOME REPORTS IT IS CLOSER TO 11 IN THE TRI-STATE. This is the biggest snowfall. AT LEAST TWO DAY SNOWFALL. When you combine these totals, that’s two daily totals since about 2008. Such an impactful and significant snowstorm for our region. So when we look ahead to what awaits us, we find ourselves in the deep freeze. FACT: When I say deep freeze, we probably won’t make it above freezing this weekend. And it’s entirely possible we won’t exceed freezing until next week. SO THAT THE SNOW THAT IS ON THE GROUND NEVER GOES. And I was just discussing how temperatures could drop to zero or even below. And now, for those of you who are looking forward to winter out there, we’re caught in a cold winter pattern in January where I think there will be more opportunities for snow until at least the middle of the month and it will be pretty cold outside. HERE IS THE DEEP FREEZE. Check this out. Our normal high is close to 40. Nowhere near that high. UNTIL THE END OF THE WEEK. Again, not even above freezing. SO NOW 24 OFFICIAL HERE IN CINCINNATI, AT 13 THERE IS THE WIND FROM THE NORTH. YOU CAN SEE THIS ON FUTURECAST. The cloud cover is trying to clear this evening. They know the clouds will be difficult as they will have a big impact on the lows overnight. I think cloud coverage is getting thinner. We’ll see some rays of sunshine out there. That’s all that’s going to help clear up some of these roads because the temperatures aren’t going to be helpful. And basically the story is the same all week. No matter what night we clean up, the temperatures will drop near zero in the morning. So I think I need to clarify something tonight. I talked to us a little more simply because I think the clouds are pretty stubborn out there, but they should clear a few hours before morning. TOMORROW WILL BE A COLD DAY WITH INTERMEDIATE CLOUDY COVER AS YOU SEE HERE, ONLY IN THE LOW TO MID 20’S FOR HIGH. Here’s a look at your seven-day forecast. Here too, the lowest values overnight depend on the cloud. IF WE HAVE NO CLOUDS, WE ARE TWICE BELOW ZERO. I think our best chances might be on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. And then I’m keeping a close eye on Thursday evening, Friday morning, because I think it’s certainly going to be a night where the skies clear up and we probably get to zero, probably even below, in most areas. AND THERE ARE YOUR CHANCES OF SNOW FROM FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY. MIKE AND CHARI. It’s only several days away at this point, but I definitely think we could gain a few inches on A
