Score summary and recap between Notre Dame Football and Southern Cal

Two long pick-sixes put the exclamation point on Notre Dame’s 49-35 victory over Southern California on Saturday night.

Christian Gray led by just one touchdown in the fourth quarter, 35-28, and returned an interception 99 yards to give the Irish a 32-28 lead. On USC’s next possession, Xavier Watts repeated the feat, this time rushing for 100 yards for the score and a 49-28 lead.

USC tied the score with a touchdown in the final seconds.

Quarterback Riley Leonard was 17 of 22 for 155 yards and two touchdowns with one interception for the Irish. Leonard also had 12 carries for 50 yards and a touchdown.

Jadarian Price had 12 rushing attempts for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame’s leading rusher this season, had 13 carries for 99 yards and a touchdown before hobbling in the third quarter with an apparent knee injury. Love never returned to the game.
