In a rare moment this season, the Jets got off to a hot start.

They started the first half 21-7 against the Seattle Seahawks and everything was going their way.

They had recovered two fumbles, returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown and blocked an extra point.

As it has been a theme all season, the Jets continue to find ways to lose games instead of winning them.

The Seahawks scored 19 unanswered points in a 26-21 come-from-behind victory over the Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

The Jets scored their final point with 7:39 left in the second quarter but remained scoreless for the final 36:21 of the game.

The team continues to be undisciplined, racking up an inexcusable 12 penalties for 83 yards, with most of those penalties resulting in costly situations that either end drives or increase the Seahawks’ time with the ball.

Gang Green is now in its ninth straight losing season, losing six of its nine games by a margin of one point, a clear sign that this team is falling short at the crucial moment.

That makes it 19 unanswered points for Seattle, who have a five-point lead after an eight-yard run by running back Zach Charbonnet.

Jets 21, Seahawks 19: 13:11 remaining in the fourth quarter

The Seahawks get closer and closer as they score the first points of the second half with a 43-yard field from Seattle’s Jason Meyers.

It was another unforced error by Gang Green that gave the Seahawks good field position to start the drive, with running back Breece Hall fumbling for the second time today, but only his second lost fumble of the year.

Wow. What a crazy turn of events this first half was after a slow start from both teams.

All 37 points were scored in nearly 15 minutes of play between the end of the first and second quarters.

During that time, the Jets scored all three touchdowns, recovered two fumbles on Seattle kickoff muffs and blocked the Seahawks’ extra point.

The Seahawks were able to hang on, however, as Leonard Williams — the former Jets’ first-round pick in 2015 — caught an Aaron Rodgers interception 92 yards for a touchdown, keeping Seattle in the game.

The craziness included a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by the Jets’ Kene Nwangwu, the fourth of his career and his first with the organization in his Gang Green debut.

Jets 14, Seahawks 0:1:47 remaining in first quarter

For the second time this season, the Jets are off to a strong start.

Gang Green had excellent field position after Seahawks kick returner Dee Williams fumbled the ball and Brandin Echols recovered it to the Seattle 27-yard line.

Four plays later, Rodgers threw a short four-yard shovel pass near the goal line to third-string RB Isaiah Davis, who found the end zone for his first career touchdown of his rookie season.

Jets 6, Seahawks 0:3:25 left in first quarter

After a nearly scoreless first quarter, the Jets get on the field first, with Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams along with Gang Green scoring their second touchdown from eight yards out.

The Rodgers-to-Adams duo played a big role in getting just past midfield, with the four-time NFL MVP finding his favorite wide receiver for a 24-yard reception.

The drive seemed to be going nowhere when Leonard Williams – the Jets’ former first-round pick – sacked Rodgers on third-and-long, but Williams grabbed his facemask, resulting in Gang Green getting the ball in the red zone.
