Seahawks Jets inactive: Dareke Young among healthy scratches for Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks have announced their inactive players for their Week 13 game against the New York Jets. Six of the seven players not scheduled to play had minor injuries, including the unexpected decision to leave quarterback Jaren Hall off the practice squad. While this means Hall can receive a game check for the active roster, he is not an emergency option at QB since he is not officially on the active roster.

Newly acquired safety AJ Finley, listed as questionable with an ankle injury, is out and will not make his Seahawks debut this week. Tight end Brady Russell, the only other player whose playing status was pending, is active, meaning the Seahawks have all four tight ends available for the first time since October.

With Sataoa Laumea given the right-back position, this is not the first time he has been on the inactive list this season. The only rookie cut for today is fifth-round cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett, who has barely played in recent weeks.

Players like Dareke Young and Jerrick Reed II are the other notable healthy scratches for the Seahawks. Both play almost exclusively on special teams, but Seattle isn’t really lacking in options on that front.

Meanwhile, the New York Jets’ biggest inactive player is linebacker CJ Mosley, whose neck injury hasn’t quite healed enough to play. Running back Breece Hall was questionable with a knee injury, but he is doing well.
