Seahawks vs. Jets Best NFL Prop Bets for NFL Week 13 (Jaxon Smith-Njigba Still a Must-Bet)

The Seahawks will look to further their claim as the top team in the crowded NFC West with a road win against a Jets team in a BYE week.

Gang Green has underperformed this season despite high expectations, but can the team start to be a spoiler for groups like the Seahawks who need to stay on track to secure the division title? On Sunday, I consider the passing game of both teams to be my favorite player. Find out who I’m betting on below!

Jaxon Smith-Njigba OVER 5.5 receptions

JSN has arrived.

The first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft has finally taken on the role of primary pass catcher in Seattle’s pass-happy offense, recording six catches in the last four games with 38 targets in those four games.

He’ll be facing a Jets defense that is average in terms of EPA/dropback, and as the target share for JSN increases, I’ll have to elaborate on that as we continue to get plus money for that number.

Geno Smith OVER 239.5 passing yards

Seattle is in the top five in pass attempts per game this season, and I see no reason why the team should deviate from its preferred game plan against Gang Green in a game that plays out like a coin toss.

Smith has exceeded that mark in seven of 11 starts this season, and against a mediocre Jets secondary that is league average in dropback/EPA, this matchup should allow Smith to hit his quota.

With a high passing rate and an explosive pass-catching group, Smith’s passing yards can be overcome.

Aaron Rodgers UNDER 218.5 passing yards

The Jets’ offense has been out of sync all season, and I don’t think the team will turn things around as the season progresses.

Gang Green has been underwhelming all season, ranking 19th in EPA/Dropback, and Rodgers has seen his passing yards fall below that mark in the last three games despite having at least 29 passes in all games.

Due to the patchwork offense and lack of creativity in the passing game, the team simply isn’t explosive enough.

Look for the Jets to try to overcome the Seahawks’ subpar rush defense and keep the Seattle offense off the field.
