Seattle RB Zach Charbonnet enjoys his career game in the Seahawks’ big win over the Cardinals

The Seahawks turned two early Kyler Murray interceptions into touchdowns to give themselves a double-digit lead that they would hold for most of the contest. Charbonnet did the rest, adding 59 receiving yards on seven catches, giving Geno Smith an escape and keeping the clock running with bulldozing runs.

Charbonnet joins Shaun Alexander (2002) and Ricky Watters (1999) as the third player in Seahawks history with more than 100 rush yards, more than two rush TDs and more than 50 receiving yards in a game.

The second-round pick from UCLA praised the offensive line for opening up holes.

“They just made it easy for me,” Charbonnet said. “All I had to do was let a guy miss and that’s how it worked out. I give all the credit to the guys at the top.”

The second-year defender is the first Seahawks player with more than 100 rush yards in a game since Walker in Week 1. Using a bulldozing style, Charbonnet generated +41 rushing yards above expectations on Sunday, more than any Seattle runner in a game the last two seasons.

“It’s hard to beat this guy in the open field,” Macdonald said. “He has speed and power.”

The victory, led by Charbonnet, was the Seahawks’ fourth straight since their bye in Week 10. It is the first four-game winning streak for Seattle since Weeks 6-9 of 2022. Macdonald’s remains with a record of 8-5 Club with a one-game lead at the top of the NFC West with four games to go.
