Skyrim reaches full Mass Effect – PC in this epic free expansion

You most likely played Skyrim to death, I understand.

That’s a boat many of us are in, and yet that in no way stops me from returning to this Bethesda masterpiece.

There’s something to that Skyrimis an open world where, as cheesy as it sounds, you feel at home.

When I don’t want to think too long, it’s a chance to enter a place that is completely familiar, but that doesn’t mean I’m against any sense of newness Skyrim.

It goes without saying that while Skyrim is a treat for many of us, it’s also fun to change up the formula from time to time – which PC gamers can do with the help of mods.

And it’s a mod from NexusMods user TheBawb that I want to highlight today, as Warden of the Coast is a DLC-format adventure inspired by series like BioWare’s Mass Effect and Dragon Age franchises.

Mass Effect fans should also keep an eye on it Exodusan upcoming science fiction role-playing game.

In Warden of the Coast, you travel to an “isolated island” where you must “prevent the return of a Daedric Lord to power” by “closing the Claws of Oblivion once again,” all while… Earn the loyalty of nine companions.

Just like in BioWare titles, each companion has a loyalty quest that you won’t want to miss, and you can choose up to three companions to accompany you on major missions and explorations.

Additionally, there are seven love quests as well as five mod endings determined by the player’s choices.

In total, “Warden of the Coast” offers between 10 and 15 hours of gameplay – and the mod is fully voiced, with 9,000 lines of dialogue brought to life by 27 voice actors.

Companions react to both your kills and your decisions, and you may need to revive them during combat.

As you can probably tell, this is not your average mod. This is a colossal project that is infinitely deserving of any praise it receives.

Warden of the Coast takes place in two new world spaces, offering a total of 19 new interiors.

If you’re still not convinced at this point, I don’t understand why.

PC users can enjoy Warden of the Coast for free by heading over to NexusMods.
