Snow hits New York again on Christmas Eve: What to expect next

New Yorkers woke up to more snow on the ground once again, this time on Christmas Eve.

Another snow system moved into the Northeast overnight, creating slippery travel conditions Tuesday morning. Winter weather advisories have been issued for parts of the Tri-State area.

The latest system comes after several inches of snow fell in parts of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut over the weekend, making travel slippery during what is expected to be one of the busiest travel times of the year.

The snowfall continued into the early hours of the morning before ceasing around 10am

“It’s moving in and out pretty quickly, but it’ll be enough for there to be at least a blanket of snow out there,” FOX 5 NYs Mike Woods had said.

With temperatures expected to remain around 30°C on Christmas Eve and around 20°C on Christmas night, the chance of the snow melting is very limited.
