First of all, what is a snow squall?

Snow squalls are heavy blows of snow with strong gusts of wind. They create rapid whiteout conditions. They are usually short, lasting less than an hour. Snow squalls create dangerous driving conditions as they can quickly deteriorate road conditions and lead to poor visibility and slippery surfaces.
