Social media is reacting to Arkansas’ 92-62 win over Oakland

The No. 23 Arkansas Razorbacks (11-2) defeated the Oakland Grizzlies (4-10) 92-62 on Monday night in front of a relatively small crowd at Bud Walton Arena.

It was clear from the start that Arkansas would be at odds with the program that eliminated John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats from the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair with highlights and lowlights, particularly on the Razorbacks’ interior. The Grizzlies shot just 1 of 5 from distance in the first 20 minutes, but scored 30 points in the game against Arkansas center Jonas Aidoo and Co.

On the bright side, forward Adou Thiero (16 points) looked normal and freshman winger Karter Knox (10 points) was perfect from the field. Freshman guard Boogie Fland was underwhelming as he finished the first half 0 of 6 from the field and had just one point on a free throw.

However, everything changed in the second half as Fland came away with 22 points on 8 of 15 shooting, while Thiero also had 22 points and Knox added 17 points of his own.

Thanks to their efforts, Arkansas was able to secure a lead that never looked back. A late three-point barrage pushed the Hogs’ lead to more than 20, a huge difference from the start of the game.

As a team, the Razorbacks made 35 of 58 shots from the field, 10 of 22 from long range and 12 of 14 from the charity stripe. Arkansas turned the ball over 13 times but recorded eight steals with 10 blocks.

Fans and media on X expressed their thoughts on the Razorbacks during their recent non-conference win:
