Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is officially in the works at Paramount for a spring 2027 release

It’s official. It’s a surprise to absolutely no one that we’re getting a fourth Sonic the Hedgehog movie from Paramount, reports Variety. Publication is scheduled for spring 2027.

At the moment, we don’t have any further details about the fourth film: who or what it will involve, who is involved, or anything else. We know that the ending of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will introduce another new character to set up the fourth film, but with the film literally hitting theaters tonight, fans will have to wait to find out who that is (I hope , it’s Big the Cat). . Although we don’t want to give it away here, be careful because the end credits scene has been leaked online.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 returns Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails and Idris Elba as Knuckles, along with their human friends James Marsden and Tika Sumpter as Tom and Maddie. Keanu Reeves makes his Sonic debut as Shadow the Hedgehog and the cast includes Alyla Browne as Maria Robotnik, Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone and Jim Carrey as Dr. Eggman and Dr. Eggman’s identical grandfather rounded off.

We’ve enjoyed all three films so far, with our reviewer saying the latest release “offers better jokes, better visuals and two (!) inspired comic performances from Jim Carrey that give this Sonic sequel an edge over its overly childish predecessors.” .”

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is currently expected to top the box office this weekend with a projected opening of $60 million, surpassing the simultaneous debut of The Lion King prequel Mufasa.
