When asked about a possible recast of Robotnik and a possible future villain replacement for the series, Fowler replied: “Honestly, I can’t imagine anyone other than Jim playing Robotnik. But from here there will have to be a lot of discussion about next steps, and of course a lot of that will have to wait until this (Sonic the Hedgehog 3) comes out and we’ll see where things end up.”

Additionally, we asked if there were any ideas about where the series could go after the series.Sonic3. In response, Jeff said, “Oh, I always have ideas.”

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is Carrey’s third time in the role, having appeared as the character throughout the trilogy. However, this time Carrey will also be Dr. Playing Gerald Robotnik, his character’s grandfather. Gerald is the creator of Space Colony ARK and Shadow the Hedgehog in the games and presumably in the films Sonic the Hedgehog 3is the main antagonist and is voiced by Keanu Reeves.

Considering how Carrey keeps talking about retirement, there’s still a chance that Dr. Robotnik will not return in the future. The good news is that there are plenty of potential villains in the Sonic universe that can fill the void. Like characters Sonic CDis Metal Sonic, Shadow the hedgehog‘s Black Doom, and Sonic Adventure‘s Chaos would be a good choice. What’s notable is that Shadow the Hedgehog is the main antagonist Sonic the Hedgehog 3whereby Dr. Robotnik takes a back seat, which could also be the format for future films.

Fans of Jim Carrey’s eccentric version of Dr. Robotnik will certainly be happy to know that the character will continue to appear and be played by him as long as he is interested. Carrey’s marital status always promises plenty of laughs and unforgettable moments Dumb and dumber to the polite Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
