Sources – Damian Lillard of the Bucks and Adidas agree to a lifetime deal

Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard has agreed to a lifetime contract extension with Adidas, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

Since Lillard’s contract with Adidas expired last offseason, his representative, Aaron Goodwin of Goodwin Sports Management, negotiated a new contract with company officials.

Lillard played alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo to lead the Bucks to the NBA Cup championship on Tuesday night in Las Vegas. Lillard is averaging 25.7 points, 7.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game this season.

Lillard joins LeBron James and Kevin Durant (Nike) and Stephen Curry (Under Armour/Curry Brand) as active NBA players with lifetime shoe endorsement deals. Goodwin also negotiated the first Nike deals for James and Durant.

The 34-year-old will now earn more than $600 million in career salary from his on-field and in-shoe contracts.

A member of the NBA Top 75 and an eight-time All-Star, Lillard has been a member of Adidas since entering the league in 2012. Lillard, who played his first 11 seasons with the Trail Blazers, has established himself as an integral part of the Portland community and has many initiatives in his second home through Adidas.

Adidas announced this year that it had named the gymnasium at the company’s headquarters after Lillard.
