Southampton vs Tottenham Hotspur: game time, live blog and how to watch online

SO MUCH FOOTBALL! Look at the football! IT WILL MOVE!!!

Another week and it’s another multi-game week as the games keep coming for Tottenham Hotspur. Southampton are this weekend’s opponents, while Spurs head south to face the struggling Saints.

Southampton are clearly in last place in the Premier League with just one win this season; But games against such teams have not gone well for the Lilywhites so far in the 24/25 season. With defeats to the likes of Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town and a team running on steam, this game could be a slam dunk for Spurs with only one fit centre-back and injuries plaguing the team.

With that in mind, we know that Tottenham Hotspur are capable of putting any team in their place and Ange Postecoglou will have high expectations coming into this game. It’s possible we’ll also see some new faces in new roles, with this matchup presenting a potential rotation option. But as we all know, no game is easy in this league.

Adjust thread rules

The match thread rules are the same as always. All visitors who come here for the first time are warmly welcome! We’re glad you’re here! Wipe your feet, mind the gap, and be sure to check out the other pages of this excellent site. However, while you’re here, we have a few rules and regulations:

  • Absolutely no links to illegal streams. They are evil and get us into trouble. Violators will be warned or banned.
  • We have rules against “relentless negativity.” Nobody likes a negative Nancy. Don’t be knee-jerk and post outlandish or hurtful things just because you’re frustrated.
  • In this sense, direct insults to players or match officials are not permitted. It’s okay to say “Wow, that was a really bad call,” but it’s NOT okay to excessively berate said officer over a call you didn’t like.
  • Treat other people in the match thread the way you would want someone else to treat your grandmother. Be nice. This is a community of fans, not an unmoderated message board.
  • NO SPIDERS!
  • Although we don’t have a policy against profanity, please try to keep the naughty words at bay. In addition, statements that are sexist, racist, transphobic or homophobic in nature will be immediately deleted and you will be blocked immediately. This is an open, supportive community.

Have fun and COYS!
