SpaceX will conduct its 46th launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base on Saturday

UPDATE (6:15 p.m.) – The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base shortly after 5:58 p.m

The first stage booster successfully landed on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean a few minutes after launch.

UPDATE (Saturday, 5:18 p.m.) – SpaceX has pushed back the launch time of the Falcon 9 rocket to 5:58 p.m

(Friday, 12:22 p.m.) – SpaceX is preparing for what could be its final launch of the year from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

The company plans to launch Falcon 9, which will carry 22 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit, at 5:48 p.m. Saturday.

If the start does not take place at this time, backup options are available until 9:31 p.m. and again from 5:12 p.m. on Sunday.

After stage separation, the first stage booster is expected to land on the Of Course I Still Love You drone ship in the Pacific Ocean. It is not expected that a sonic boom will be heard on site.

The booster has already been used 15 times.

A live webcast of this mission will begin on X approximately five minutes before launch.

The launch would be the 46th Falcon 9 launch this year from Vandenberg Space Force Base. The base has also conducted Firefly Alpha launches, a Minotaur IV launch and three Minuteman III test launches this year.
