Staying cold for the next few days

Uh, the folks at Chief Meteorologist RB Bobby, the 4029 TV.com forecast for this Monday, January 6th. There was a little light snow in northwest Arkansas last night. When we woke up to the dust, we also had a few storms in the river valley. Despite the light layer of ice we had in some places, there weren’t too many problems on the roads in NWA. Um, but it was like, it just stayed cold all day, right? So the wind played a damn role. The maximum temperatures throughout the region are around 20°C to around freezing point. Today is sort of the coldest day of the week, but only by a little bit. OK, so, uh, I’ll show you what I’m talking about here. Of course, we are all also following the upcoming system on Thursday evening and Friday. This could cause snowfall across the entire region. Uh, the further south you go, the higher the tolls are likely to be. So, and we’ll learn more about this as we get a little closer, and we’ll talk about it on the news tonight. But in the meantime it’s just pretty cold, calm and chilly, a few clouds might move over northwest Arkansas later tonight, maybe even heavy showers, but most of the time, uh, looks calm, lots of medium ones when you wake up Teens in northwest Arkansas, upper teens in the River Valley. Uh, but at least not as much wind at this point, not as windy as Tuesday and not quite as cold, but highs are only around 30, 32 in northwest Arkansas, mid 30s to upper 30s in the river valley, so, uh , not much warmer. Uh, Wednesday morning it’s that cool again, cool and cold, maybe even colder than Tuesday morning, low to mid teens again in northwest Arkansas, upper teens in the River Valley. And then as we get into Wednesday afternoon, it’s probably going to be a little bit cooler than Tuesday, although not quite as cold as today, but just cold, right above 20°C to about 30°C in northwest Arkansas and. Generally mid-30s in the River Valley, um, still quiet. It’s Thursday night and Friday when we could see a whole bunch of snow moving across the state. Most likely there will be heavier snowfall to the south and east of us, but snow accumulation seems quite possible across our entire area, especially in the far south where you are. So we’ll talk more about what to expect with this ***, a bit more details to share with you tonight and you can join us to find out all about it before 456 and 10 on 4029 of course coming at 9 p.m. on the CW.
