The popular Steam WW2 shooter is free to download and keep forever

Be quick, though, because it’s only free until tomorrow

A very popular World War II first-person shooter on Steam is currently free to keep forever, but spoiler alert: the platform the game is available on isn’t actually Steam.

Letting all hell loosea 2021 multiplayer first-person shooter published by Team17, can now be purchased via the Epic Games storefront.

The game has enjoyed consistent popularity over the years as it still attracts an average of around 9,000 concurrent players per day. Considering that the peak number of around 18,000 concurrent players was reached in 2022, that’s really quite impressive for an online-only title.

The PC version of the game also has quite good test results with 79 out of 100 on Metacritic.

The game is also very popular on Steam and receives a “very positive” rating with over 86,000 reviews (84% of which are positive).

Plus, Letting all hell loose also includes six pieces of free DLC content alongside the free game via the Epic Games storefront.

Over in a thread on the r/pcmasterrace subreddit detailing the news, PC gamers were pretty excited about the announcement.

“Great game,” commented user Thrillog. “Be sure to check out the tutorial and remember – two things win games in this title: garrisons and communications.”

“As a paramedic you experience some hilarious RP moments,” replied user -hellozukohere-, “Once a man told me his life story while crying after an explosion. 10/10 game.”

I find that last comment pretty funny because that’s the only reason I know about this game, as they are clips from people who roleplay very seriously Letting all hell loose somehow regularly find their way into my recommended YouTube shorts.

By the way, the game is only available for free until tomorrow, so grab it quickly if you want to claim it. Just remember to take a headset with you when you turn it on.
