Steelers vs Eagles Live Updates | December 15, 2024

Eagles football returns to Lincoln Financial Field as the Steelers come to town to battle for Pennsylvania.

With Washington defeating the Saints today, the Eagles will have to wait another week to clinch the NFC East. They will achieve this with a win over the Commanders next Sunday.

A win today would be the Eagles’ tenth straight win, a franchise record.

Follow here for updates and highlights during the game:

  • At the start of the game, the Steelers received the ball first. Safety Sydney Brown was hit in the helmet on the return, but was able to escape on his own. He was then evaluated for a concussion and was ruled out. The Eagles forced a three-and-out on the first drive to start their first offensive drive at their own 30.
  • Jalen Hurts found Grant Calcaterra for a 22-yard gain to open the game for Philadelphia. The Eagles moved quickly, completing AJ Brown for 7 yards and DeVonta Smith for 21 yards.
  • FIELD GOAL! Jake Elliott opened the scoring with a 34-yard field goal. (Eagles 3 – Steelers 0)
  • After Hurts botched a 3rd-and-4 rush in which TJ Watt released the ball, the Steelers took over at the Philadelphia 45.
  • BAG! Josh Sweat brought down Wilson for an 11-yard loss to force a fourth down. On the punt return, Cooper DeJean fumbled the hit and the Steelers quickly took the lead at the Eagles’ 11. The Steelers were held to a field goal after being backed by multiple penalties as unnecessary roughness backed them up. (Eagles 3-Steelers 3)
