Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins are questionable for Warriors vs. Mavericks

The Golden State Warriors host the Dallas Mavericks tonight at 5:30 p.m. PT in a game that will be broadcast on NBA TV and NBC Sports Bay Area. It was a late addition to the schedule as the Warriors, like all teams, were only given 80 games at the start of the season to make the Emirates NBA Cup possible. The Dubs had added an 81st game for the NBA Cup quarterfinals and, after losing that game to the Houston Rockets, had an 82nd game scheduled against the Mavs.

It should be a fun game, although there are quite a few players who may not play. Here is the full injury report.

warrior

Out of — Dennis Schröder (not on the team)

The Warriors wasted no time in improving their roster and pounced on a deal for the veteran point guard on the first day De’Anthony Melton’s contract was up for trade. Unsurprisingly, Schröder isn’t on the team yet, at least in a formal sense… Don’t be surprised if he’s in the building for the game, and expect to see him in the jersey on Wednesday.

Out of — Moses Moody (left knee patellar tendon disorder)

It appears the Warriors still consider Moody’s injury to be fairly mild, but it’s certainly costing him more time than he – or the Warriors – would have hoped.

Questionable — Steph Curry (inflammation of the right neck facet)

At this point I probably don’t need to tell you how important it is to have Curry on the floor, especially since Schröder isn’t ready to suit up yet.

Questionable — Andrew Wiggins (right adductor tension)

Good news: Wiggins’ ankle injury is no longer on the injury report. Bad news: Something else is.

Questionable — Gui Santos (G-League assignment)

Santos hasn’t been able to find regular minutes for the Warriors this year, and that’s unlikely to change. But fortunately he had a good season in the G League.

outsider

Out of — Maxi Kleber (rib fracture)

Kleber hasn’t played in the last two games, but his broken rib shouldn’t keep him out for too long. It’s not a huge loss for the Mavs as the veteran big man struggled a bit.

Out of — Jaden Hardy (right ankle sprain)

Hardy is a reliable backup for the Mavs, but an ankle injury cost him a few games in his third season and it looks like it will cost him a few more.

Out of — Naji Marshall (illness)

The Dubs are taking a bit of a break here as Marshall had the best season of his career but is ill.

Out of — Dante Exum (right wrist surgery)

Exum hasn’t played this year and won’t for a while. He suffered an injury in pre-season and is still a long way from returning.

Out of — Brandon Williams (right thumb sprain)

Williams is on a two-way contract and is still trying to find a place in the league. He showed a lot of potential in his rookie year when he averaged 12.9 points in 24 games with the Blazers, but in the three years since then he has only played 22 NBA games, logging 134 minutes.

Enjoy the action, Dub Nation!
