Steph Curry drops 31 points in win over Timberwolves, snapping Warriors’ 3-game deficit

After suffering three straight losses, including an ugly loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night, the Golden State Warriors were looking for a much-needed win against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

After one of the worst performances of his career with zero shots from the field, Steph Curry bounced back on Saturday against the Timberwolves. Curry contributed to the Warriors’ success, scoring 31 points on 10 of 21 shooting from the field, including seven 3-pointers. Curry contributed 10 assists for a double-double in Golden State’s 113-102 win at Minnesota.

While the Warriors led most of the game, the Timberwolves began storming back late. After an exchange of baskets in the fourth quarter, the Timberwolves and Warriors were deadlocked with the score tied at 92 with five minutes left. In the final stretch, Curry scored 11 points in a row to give the Warriors a lead.

In the fourth quarter, Curry scored 13 points with three made 3-pointers to secure the Warriors’ victory over the Timberwolves, snapping their three-game skid.

Trayce Jackson-Davis scored his first double-digit score in nearly a month, scoring 15 points on 7 of 8 shooting, including two thunderous dunks over Rudy Gobert.

The Warriors now return to the Bay Area to face the Indiana Pacers on Monday before hosting the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day.
