Steph Curry’s latest injury status for Warriors-Pistons

Steph Curry’s latest injury status for Warriors-Pistons

The Golden State Warriors enter Thursday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons desperately needing a win. After losing two straight games to undermanned opponents (Sacramento Kings and Miami Heat), Golden State is just 18-18 this season.

This contest in Detroit is the start of a meeting with Golden State, which likely resulted in Steph Curry landing on the injury report with left knee inflammation. Curry’s official status has been in question as he is not currently expected to play on both nights in a row as he manages his knee issue.

Speaking to reporters before the game, Steve Kerr revealed the final injury status of his star point guard.

Curry was made available for this game against the Pistons.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic: “Steph Curry and Draymond Green will play in Detroit tonight. Moses Moody and Andrew Wiggins are out. Wiggins had to fly back to the Bay Area for personal reasons. “Kerr didn’t want to violate privacy but said everything was fine with Wiggins.”

As mentioned here, Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins is out for personal reasons. It will be interesting to see how Golden State handles Friday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers, which is expected to be without Curry unless the medical team changes its current protocol for the star point guard.

For now, the Warriors are aiming for a win against the 19-18 Pistons.
