Move over, Michael Jordan. Steph Curry comes through.

In the Warriors’ 139-105 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday at Chase Center, Curry delivered a top-notch performance, scoring a game-high 30 points while shooting a perfect 8 of 8 from 3-point range.

As a result, the 36-year-old Curry passed Jordan, arguably the NBA’s greatest player and Chicago Bulls legend, for the most 30-point games by a guard after turning 35, according to StatMamba.

On Thursday evening, the superstar guard scored at least 30 points for the 40th time after turning 35, trailing only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (48), Karl Malone (80) and LeBron James (107) for the most games overall.

Curry’s performance would not have been possible without his impressive 19 points in the second half.

Former Warrior and current Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant, who has played 38 30-point games since turning 35, expects to be the next active player in line to waive Jordan.

Now it’s time for Curry to enjoy further success in the elite league.
