Stock up, stock down: Chicago Bears-Minnesota Vikings review

The Chicago Bears are now on an eight-game losing streak.

All hope is lost.

The team is checked out and hardly does anything on the field.

It’s another painful chapter in a painful book in a painful volume of Chicago Bears football that has been written and will be written as long as the team is run the same way.

This team is terrible. Their plans are terrible, their efforts are terrible, their blockages are terrible. I could go on.

Hardly anything redeeming happens in these games.

Anyway, let’s try to search the carcass.

Stock up

Demarcus Walker, DE – He had four QB hits and one tackle for loss.

Montez Sweat, DE – Sweat had a serious offside penalty. But he played really well and just didn’t come home. Whether it was a penalty or Sam Darnold getting rid of the ball at the last second, it wasn’t Sweat’s night. But overall, it was a good game in a bad year for the star pass rusher.

DJ Moore, WR – Eight catches on eight targets and three runs for 24 yards. It wasn’t a standout game, but given the crucial drops from Moore’s teammate, it was nice to see him being reliable.

Inventory reduced

Kiran Amegadjie, T – Maybe his future is still bright, but the initial results have been very poor. Again, he’s an incredibly raw player put in a really bad situation. He fought all night.

Rome Odunze, WR – Rome had two catches for 39 yards. That was good. But a big drop in the end zone and a lot of other mistakes (not all his fault, but he had some drops) make this a bad week. Seven goals and just two catches are not enough.

Tyrique Stevenson, CB – Tell me if I pick on him too much. I think this is the third week in a row I’ve put him down. He had a nice INT, but then a big pass interference in the end zone. He also gave up some yards.

Who else should be mentioned? Is anyone looking up?
