Jessica Simpson shows off as she prepares to release new songs.

The 44-year-old pop star shared a sexy new photo of herself on her Instagram Story on Monday, December 16. In the photo, the “Sweetest Sin” singer stared directly into the camera in a daring and daring outfit.

Simpson sat on a chair in a recording studio wearing a black fishnet bodysuit with elaborate cutouts.

Over the risque romper was a set of a light satin crop top and mini skirt.

She added a black blazer and black cowgirl boots for an extra bit of drama and chose a smokey eye and nude lipstick for her glam that might remind some of ’60s icon Brigitte Bardot.

Simpson’s signature blonde hair was styled into a bone-straight blow-out and pinned at the top for added volume.

“I can’t wait for you all to hear the soundtrack of my soul,” she wrote over the image, adding a single CD emoji to the text.

Her last original studio album, Do you knowwas published in 2008. However, in recent months she has been hinting at her return.

“This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I didn’t deserve 🎶 🎼 🤍🖤,” the “Take My Breath Away” singer captioned an Instagram carousel on Nov. 11.

Once again, the photos showed Simpson giving off a sensual vibe in a recording studio.

In each picture, she sat on a chair, striking various poses (and showing off lots of legs) while wearing a white dress. She added contrast by pairing the garment with a shaggy black jacket and black latex over-the-knee boots.

Just a month earlier, Simpson spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about how her eponymous clothing and cowgirl glam footwear brand’s fall/holiday 2024 collection helped her get “into character” for her long-awaited return to music.

“The pieces in this collection have a rock ‘n’ roll Western vibe running through them,” she said in the interview published Sept. 24. “It’s a tribute to how different forms of artistic expression are interwoven.”

She added, “When I dress the part of what I feel artistically, I can express myself better in the words and music I write.”
