The loss on Sunday will probably cause a lot of problems for the Carolina Panthers. Nevertheless, alongside the bad ones, there were also some strong performances.

For the second time in a row, Young shone with a particularly powerful approach from the opposing defense. He rushed for a season-high 298 yards, recording both a passing and a rushing touchdown with no turnovers.

Hubbard ended the game in overtime when he fumbled at the Tampa Bay 30-yard line. He finished the season with 43 rushing yards, his second-fewest total of the season, on 12 carries.

Breeding stallion: WR Adam Thielen

Thielen landed two of the most clutch catches you’ll see – one was a 25-yard touchdown to take the lead late in the fourth quarter and the other was a spectacular one-handed grab in overtime. He ended up recording season highs in receptions (eight) and receiving yards (99).

Breeding stallion: TE Tommy Tremble

Tremble stepped up at tight end in the absence of rookie Ja’Tavion Sanders, Carolina’s primary pass-catcher. He had a career-high 77 yards on five catches.

Dud: Panthers run defense

The worst run defense in football remained just that on Sunday, conceding 236 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Rookie Bucky Irving led the way for Carolina, rushing for a career-best 152 yards and a score.

Dud: K Eddy Piñeiro
