STYX Singer/guitarist Tommy Shaw says: “In the winter of 1975, I had returned to Montgomery, Alabama, having accepted the fact that club owners had little, if any, interest in seven-piece rock bands playing their original songs (some of which were 10 minutes long). long), and we had finally accepted the reality that people wanted disco hits to dance to, because he and two other local musician friends had a permanent gig there. There was no dance floor, just tables and chairs, and they were playing music from Bands like THE EAGLES, Dan Fogelbergetc. and singing three-part harmonies to the locals who loved it and didn’t want to dance. And a steady weekly paycheck! I joined them and spent the rest of the year playing whatever we wanted, bought a modest house, bought a used car and was relieved after two years of nightclub managers wanting us to play disco to be on the street. Thinking I had found a safe life in my hometown, I received a call from a man named Jim Vosecekwho introduced himself and the band to a club in Chicago. He explained that he was the rock band’s tour manager STYXthat they had just released a new album entitled ‘Equinox’and they were set to embark on their first national tour when a member suddenly dropped out and left the band. He told me to get on the plane they booked and come to the audition. When I arrived at O’Hare Airport, I met Kevin Cronin who returned to rejoin his band, REO SPEEDWAGON. It was the beginning of a lifelong friendship that will see us travel together again, this time under completely different circumstances! The “Brotherhood Of Rock” is stronger than ever!”

Cronin says, “I remember seeing it TommyDuring my REO break in the mid-1970s, I was in his seven-piece funk/rock band at the Rush Up Club in Chicago and met him at O’Hare Airport a few weeks later,” recalls Kevin Cronin. “I was back inside in no time REO SPEEDWAGON And Tommy had become the newest member of STYX. REO And STYX dominated the billboard charts in 1981 with “Hello infidelity” And “Paradise Theater”but for unknown reasons we had never toured together. So in the year 2000, Tommy and I decided to try it. The “Arch allies” The tour was a complete success and a lifelong friendship was formed. Now, 25 years later, here we are, always supporting each other and looking forward to our bands getting together again “Brotherhood Of Rock” Tour. A lot has changed since that chance meeting at the airport in 1975, but our brotherhood has only grown stronger over the years, as the songs of STYX And REO SPEEDWAGON have found a place in the hearts and souls of people across America.”

fields says: “I’m so excited to be going on tour with my friends this summer STYX And Kevin Cronin. It’s such a great line-up full of hits and lots of rock’n’roll!!! We have so much fun together both on stage and off stage that there is hardly a better combination of great music and great friends. This is a show you shouldn’t miss. See you soon.”
